Industry before technology
Start with the market, customer, business model, and forces changing the industry. Technology comes into focus after the real opportunity is clear.
About Chris
I work at the intersection of industry, business transformation, and technology. My strength is seeing how markets, customer expectations, operating models, and emerging capabilities connect—then turning that perspective into direction a business can act on.
My experience crosses financial services and automotive, with work and collaboration across different countries, cultures, and stages of transformation. This exposure taught me to look beyond one market, one function, or one technology. An industry changes as a whole system: customer behaviour, regulation, competition, operations, data, talent, and business models all move together.
I believe transformation is not mainly about selecting a product. It starts with understanding where the industry is heading, what the business wants to become, and which capabilities will create a meaningful advantage. Technology matters, but only when it is connected to a clear business objective, a realistic operating model, and people who can carry the change forward.
AI is now opening the next chapter. I am interested not only in what a model can do, but in how AI will reshape customer experience, decision-making, operations, the workforce, risk, and future business models. The opportunity is to align AI with strategy, data, governance, process, and human judgment—so it can drive growth, speed, resilience, and better outcomes.
I enjoy moving between the long-term view and the practical next step: spotting signals early, challenging familiar assumptions, shaping a future vision, and finding a credible path from today’s reality to tomorrow’s business. For me, the future should not be something we wait for. We should understand it, prepare for it, and help create it.
Outside work, family, travel, history, and camping keep me curious about how people live, how places evolve, and how much there is still to learn.

A future vision must connect to priorities, capabilities, measurable outcomes, and practical steps the organisation can begin today.
Use AI to improve decisions, experience, speed, growth, and resilience—with governance and human accountability built in from the start.
